Sam and Jim go to Hollywood is a great Podcast about screenwriting which I wanted to tell everyone about.

Sam and Jim are two writers who went from struggling to make ends meet to now working on high profile projects like a new Stephen King book inspired TV series and writing other TV projects for the likes of ABC in America. They don’t record a podcast every week, sometimes leaving it as long as 5 weeks between episodes, but this only goes to demonstrate the fact that they are very much professional writers working in Hollywood.

There’s about 30 episodes recorded at the moment going back over a year, and each episode is packed full of informative stuff; about not only aspects of writing, which are really insightful for those of us interested in making our scripts better; but also covering the business side of Hollywood from a writer’s perspective. You really get a sense of what it is like to work in the industry over there. I can’t recommend this podcast enough to those interested in writing, or those just interested in learning about working in Hollywood.
